The ground rules, in plain language.

Engagements

• Consulting work happens under a signed engagement — project, hourly, or retainer contract — which is the controlling document. These terms cover the website and the period before a contract exists.
• The first consultation is free (30–60 minutes, depending on need) and creates no obligation for either of us.
• Rates are published on the Services page. Onsite presence and after-hours calls each add 25%. When a higher-rate engagement detours into lower-rate topics, the engagement’s rate continues to apply.

Scheduling

• Appointments are booked through Microsoft Bookings; you’ll get a confirmation with a Teams link and can reschedule or cancel from it.
• Life happens — give me as much notice as you can, and I’ll do the same. Repeated no-shows may mean I ask for a deposit before booking further time.

Advice & liability

• Content on this website is general information, not advice tailored to your situation. Tailored advice happens inside an engagement.
• The site is provided as-is. I work hard to keep it accurate and available, but I can’t warrant either. To the extent the law allows, Scott Riedy Consulting LLC’s liability arising from use of this website is limited to the amount you paid to use it — which is nothing.
